Kenneth E. Longacher

Kenneth E. Longacher, 74, of 1928 South N.W. (Parral) Dover, Ohio died Friday, February 22, 2002 near Montgomery, Alabama while vacationing.

Born December 12, 1927 in Parral, he was the son of the late William and Elizabeth Rufener Longacher.

He retired as a Plant Engineer for the former Shenango Company in Dover where he worked for over 44 years.

Kenny was a member of the St. Paul�(TM)s (Ruslin Hills) United Church of Christ in Dover. He was a life member of the Dover Elks Lodge, member of the Tuscarawas County YMCA and the Pine Hill Hunting Club. He enjoyed woodworking, camping, and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Eva Crites Longacher with whom he would have celebrated 50 years of marriage on October 4.

He is also survived by one daughter Joan (Todd) Chumney of Dover and Brad (Kristi) Longacher of Dover.

Five grandchildren Steve, Lindy, and Kristy Scott and Mike and Bill Longacher.


2 Sisters Esther “Sis” (Maurice) Froman of Bolivar and Elda Mizer of Dover.
One Brother Lester “Bud” (Eloise) Longacher of Parral; one sister in law Kay (Larry) Tedrick of New Philadelphia; and one brother in law, T. James (Florence) Crites of Clearwater, Florida along with many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, William Longacher; one brother, Oscar Longacher, two sisters, Frieda Kohl and Mabel Dreher.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday at 2:30 pm in the Dover Burial Park with Rev. C. Edwin Houk officiating. There are no calling hours.
