Kenneth E. Otto Ii

Kenneth E. Otto II, 69, of New Philadelphia died Wednesday, February 1, 2012 at Aultman Hospital.

Born November 10, 1942 in Dennison he was a son of Grace Morgan Otto of Tuscarawas and the late Kenneth E. Otto I.

Kenneth served his country with the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. After his discharge he was employed at GTE for 25 years until his retirement in 1993. Following his retirement, he had worked at Kent State University, Tuscarawas for many years.

Kenneth was a gifted craftsman and an excellent woodworker, who could build or fix most anything. If you ever needed anything done around the house you knew Kenneth could handle the job and it would be done right the first time.

A wonderful and loving husband, father and grandfather Kenneth will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years, Alice Hines Otto whom he married on October 17, 1963; children, Kenneth (Amy) Otto III of Newcomerstown and Jenni (Alan) German of New Philadelphia; brothers, Jim (Lora) Otto of Tennessee and Dan (Marcie) Otto of Wooster; sister, Jean (Vaughn) Stull of Uhrichsville; grandchildren, Alaina and Alyssa German.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at New Philadelphia. Private family services will be held at a later date.
