Kenneth R. Brenneman, 88, of Munroe Falls and a former Dover resident died peacefully in Akron General Hospital on Sunday.
Ken was a retired pressman for the former Seibert Printing Company at Dover.
Born July 30, 1920 in Eagleville, Ohio, he was the son of the late Neal and Elsie (Roth) Brenneman.
Ken was a member of St. John 's United Church of Christ in Dover. He was a life member of the Dover Elks Lodge. Ken served in the U.S. Army during World War II and served in the infantry division where he was stationed in Japan.
Ken is survived by his wife Margaret (Weber) Brenneman with whom he would have celebrated 62 years of marriage this November 8; He is also survived by two daughters, Margie Ann (husband, Paul) McClellan of Huntington, Indiana and Beverly Jean (husband, John) Burkey of Mogadore; a sister, Helen Carlson of Fairlawn along with four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Arnold and Glenn Brenneman.
A celebration of Ken's life will be held Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 2pm in the St. John's United Church of Christ in Dover with Rev. Michael Lowry officiating. A reception will follow in the church fellowship hall. Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover.
