Kenneth R. 'Kenny' Dupler, 76, of Dover, died Saturday, June 26, 2004, in
Aultman Hospital, Canton, from complications following brain surgery.
Born November 17, 1927 in Dover, he was a son of the late Douglas and Florence
Harper Dupler. Kenny graduated in 1945 from Dover High School, and served
honorably in the United States Air Force. On March 16, 1948, he married the
Emmajane Bonifant, and the two have enjoyed fifty-six years together. Kenny
retired in 1990 as a superintendent for the Gradall Corporation of New
Philadelphia where he worked for thirty-seven years.
He was a faithful member of the Winfield United Methodist Church, serving as
Sunday school superintendent and as a member the building committee. Kenny
also belonged to the Brandywine Grange, as well as the Pomona Grange; the
American Association of Retired Persons; and the Buckeye Beagle Club. He was
a volunteer at Union Hospital for Helpline.
Survivors include his wife, Emmajane; three daughters, Lynn (Bryan) Dague and
Peggy (fiancé, Todd Bair) Dupler, both of Dover, and Joyce Baucus of
Noblesville, IN; three granddaughters, Tammy (Jeremy) Moore of Crestline, Amy
(Todd) Williamson of Fishers, IN, and Beth Baucus of Noblesville; two step-
granddaughters, Amanda Dague of Dover and Adrianne Dague of Strasburg; two
great-granddaughters, Mackenzie Byers and Kennedy Moore, both of Crestline;
two great-grandsons, Nicholas Williamson of Fishers and Cody Moore of
Crestline; three sisters, Barbara DeVault, Deloris (Henry) Fragasse and
Juanita (Bill) Page, all of Dover; a brother, Jerry (Betty) Dupler of
Greenville, SC; an aunt, Dora (Murry) Beard of Dover; and many nieces and
nephews.
Kenny's life will be celebrated in a service Tuesday, June 29, at 10 a.m., in
Winfield United Methodist Church, with Rev. LuAnn Youngman officiating.
Burial will be in Dover Burial Park. Following the committal, there will be a
reception in the Winfield Church. Family and friends are invited to call at
the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover on Monday, June 28, 2004, 1-3 and 6-8
