Kenneth W. Dreher

Kenneth W. “Kenny” Dreher, 53, of 415 Ellen Ave., S.W., New Philadelphia, Ohio died Thursday, November 8, 2001 in Mercy Medical Center at Canton following an extended heart illness.

He was a former auto parts sales representative. He also previously operated a Certified Station in Dover and was a bartender at several area establishments.

Born July 21, 1948 in Dover, he was the son of William and Vivian Barnhart Dreher of Strasburg.

Kenny was a 1967 graduate of Strasburg High School where he was the basketball manager of the state championship basketball team. He was also an active member of the New Philadelphia Quaker Band Boosters and was baptized and confirmed in the First Lutheran Church at Strasburg.

In addition to his parents, Kenny is survived by his wife Kathy Paro Dreher with whom he celebrated 27 yrs. Of marriage on June 29. He is also survived by two children Kara and Kristopher both of the home. One sister, Lynnea (Karl) Thomas and two brothers, Lewis (Sally) Dreher and Charles (Karen) Dreher all of Strasburg. His mother in law and father in law Joanne and Michael Paro of Brooksville, Florida,; a sister in law Susan Paro of St. Petersburg, Florida along with 9 nephews and one niece and his canine companions Kandi and Midnight.

Funeral Services will be held Monday at 1 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Steve Court officiating. Interment will be in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 2-4 & 6-8 pm.
