Kenneth W. Pringle, 82, of Youngstown, Ohio, and formerly of Dover, died Wednesday, October 26, 2016 in the Briarfield at Ashley Circle, Youngstown.
Born February 2, 1934 in Mather, Pennsylvania he was a son of the late Shirdon and Marie Laya Pringle. Ken was also preceded in death by his brothers, James, Eugene and Ronnie Pringle; sisters, Dolly Ankney and Dorothy Hixenbaugh.
Ken served his country with the United States Navy during the Korean War. He retired in 1994 from Greer Steel after 43 years of service and was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dover and the Dover VFW. In his spare time he enjoyed going on walks and golfing.
Ken will be sadly missed by his wife of 59 years, Reba Harder Pringle, whom he married on December 1, 1956; children, Randy (Debbie) Pringle of Austintown, Patty (Barry) Pringle-Roberts of New Mexico, Kenneth (Joan) Pringle of Rootstown; brother, Glenn Pringle of New Philadelphia; six grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 29 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Rev. David St. Aubin officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
