Kim W. Herron, 49, of New Philadelphia, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at home surrounded by his family, following a battle with cancer.
Born, May 28, 1957, he was a son of Joann Baus (husband, Don) McCoy of New Philadelphia, and the late Gerald Herron. Kim graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1976, and shortly afterwards went to work for the Ohio Department of Transportation, where he was presently a bridge superintendent.
Kim enjoyed fishing, and was a member of the Castaway Bass Masters. He was an avid bowler and a NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed camping and the outdoors, and especially being with family and friends.
Survivors include three daughters, Kim (husband, Ryan) Becker of Beach City, Heather Herron of Tappan Lake, and Linzi Herron of New Philadelphia; two sons, Korey and Lucas Herron, both of New Philadelphia; former companion and former wife, Tami Herron; three grandchildren, Cayden and Chloee Anslow and Rylee Becker; sisters, Tammy (husband, Dwayne) Addleman and Cindy Herron, both of New Philadelphia; brother, James Herron of New Philadelphia; half-brothers, Kelly (wife, Micky) Herron, Jan (wife, Crystal) Herron, Charles “Chink” (fiancée, Rachael) Herron, and Jami (wife, Melissa) Herron, all of New Philadelphia; step-sister, Teri Reidenbach of New Philadelphia; step-brother, Tim McCoy also of New Philadelphia; several nieces and nephews; and many good friends.
In addition to his father, Kim was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Jacob and Dorothy Baus, and by his paternal grandparents, Paul and Evelyn Stress.
Kim�(TM)s life will be celebrated in a service Saturday, May 12, at 1:30 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, 803 N. Wooster Ave., Dover. Burial will be in Evergreen Burial Park, New Philadelphia. Following the committal, there will be a meal in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard in Dover.
