Laura Lynn Odenbach

Laura Lynn Odenbach, 40, of New Philadelphia, died Thursday, April 30, 2009, after battling Huntington�(TM)s Disease.

Born, August 7, 1968, in Ann Arbor, Michigan, she was a daughter of Jim Hartman of Arizona, and the late Judith Collica Hartman. Laura graduated from Whitmer High School in Toledo, and went on to earn an Associate�(TM)s Degree. She was a loving wife to Spence Odenbach, whom she married on April 22, 1995, in Sacred Heart Church, New Philadelphia. Until her illness prevented it, Laura was employed as a nurses�(TM) aide in the Emergency Dept. of Mercy Medical Center in Canton.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, and some of her favorite pastimes were camping and boating.

In addition to her devoted husband, Spence, she is survived by many loving family members and friends, including, her grandparents, Richard and Dessie Hartman of Jackson, Michigan; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Eileen and Tom Massarelli of New Philadelphia; brother-in-law, Chris Williams of Toledo; and sister-in-law, Lorri (Fred) Lindsay of Stow.

Besides her mother, Laura was preceded in death by a sister, Lisa Williams.

A funeral Mass will be held Monday, May 4, at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 139 Third St. N.E., New Philadelphia, with Msgr. George J. Schlegel officiating. Immediately following the Mass, there will be a luncheon in the church�(TM)s St. Ambrose Hall. Family and friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, 246 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia, on Sunday, May 3, 4 �" 6 p.m., and on Monday, 8:30 �" 10:30 a.m. There will be a Christian wake service Sunday at 5:45 p.m. in the funeral home.
