Lee A. Plunk

Lee A. Plunk, 82, of Dover passed away suddenly on Friday, April 30, 2021 at his home.

Born on March 30, 1939 in Dover he was a son of the late Marion and Marjorie Rausch Plunk. Lee was a 1957 graduate of Dover High School and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church. In 1965 he started Hillcrest Garden Center, which he operated along with his wife Judy. Due to his failing health, Lee had to sell the business in 2004 after 39 years of operation. He then worked for Lake Cable Nursery in Canton until 2010.

Lee is survived by his wife of 63 years, Judy Douds Plunk whom he married on December 28, 1957; children, Jeff (Teresa) Plunk of California, Mike (Beth) Plunk of Florida, Laurie (Attorney Kerry) Donahue of Dublin, Steve Plunk of Maryland; grandchildren, Jason (Cassie) Plunk, Ashley Plunk and a great granddaughter.

Per the family’s request, private graveside services will be held at the Dover Burial Park. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover is handling arrangements.
