Lee P. Arnold, 77, of Dover, died Monday, December 2, 2002 in the New Dawn Health Care Center
He was a retired crane operator who had worked for the former Shanango, and had also formerly owned and operated Pee Wee Lake park.
Born May 5, 1925 at Dover, he was son of the late James S. & Hettie C. Brown Arnold.
He was a skilled woodworker and had operated his own woodshop where he would make gun cabinets and other furniture without using blue prints. He enjoyed spending time outdoors.
Lee was preceded in death by his wife, Juliet R. (Patterson) Arnold, who passed away on August 30, 1997.
Survivors include: a sister; Mary Sue Bleininger of Dover, brother; Gene “Bo” (Shirley) Arnold of Dover, sister-in-law; Katherine Arnold of New Philadelphia, and a special niece; Mrs. Robert (Barbara) Patterson of New Philadelphia.
In addition to his parents and wife, Lee was preceded in death by a son; Le Roy “Buddy” Arnold, a brother; James B. Arnold, and an infant sister; Opal Arnold.
Funeral services will be held, Thursday, December 5, at 11:00am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover with Pastor Jon Johnson officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. A reception will be held in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center following services at the cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6-8pm and one-hour prior to services on Thursday.
