Lee P. Dues, 74, of Dover died Sunday, September 9, 2007 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born July 2, 1933 in Dover he was a son of the late Lee and Zelda Trimmer Dues.
Lee retired from Shenango in 1988 after 20 years of service, and was a part owner of the Garver Brothers store in Strasburg during the 1960�(TM)s.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dover Elks and VFW. He graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1951 and then joined the Navy, where he served on the USS Shannon during the Korean War. As most know, Lee was also an avid golfer and Notre Dame fan.
Lee was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie “Marge” Dues who passed away on September 17, 2000; sisters, Jackie Gibbens and Virginia Roth.
He will be greatly loved and sadly missed by his sons, Brian Dues of Dover, Steve Dues of Canton and Mark (Denise Belle) Dues of Ravenna; grandchildren, Jocelyn, Amanda, Joseph, Meghan and John Dues; three nieces, Dale (Robert) Hamma of Dover, Betsy (Tom) Vernizzi of Louisville, Kentucky and Jan Major of New Philadelphia, as well as many many friends.
In keeping with Lee�(TM)s wishes, cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held on Friday, September 14, 2007 at 10:30 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. William Arnold officiating. There are no calling hours. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Homes and Crematory are handling the arrangements.
