Lela Yoss

Lela “Lee” Yoss, 80, of 1406 Walnut St., Dover, Ohio went home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 12, 2007 in Aultman Hospital at Canton following a brief illness.

Born May 11, 1926 in Canton, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Beulah Evans Summers. She was also preceded in death by her stepfather, Harvey Ritz and her brother, Robert Ritz.

She was an employee of Dutch Valley Gift Market at Sugarcreek where she worked for ten years. She had also previously worked for J.C. Penney Co. in Dover, Office Appliance, Marlowe�(TM)s Drug Store, Buehlers�(TM)s Store and Reproductions Unlimted.

Lee attended the NewPointe Community Church in Dover. She was also a member of Dover-New Phila Music Study Club, and was formerly active in the Tuscarawas Philharmonic. She enjoyed singing. She also loved spending time with her family and friends and enjoyed traveling with her husband, Dale. She attended the Bolivar schools and graduated from Canton McKinley High School.

She is survived by her husband, Dale G. Yoss with whom she would have celebrated 63 years of marriage on December 29. She is also survived by her son, Scott (Carol) Yoss of New Philadelphia and her daughter, Lisa (Randy) Notz of Dover; three grandchildren, Randa (Mike) Miller of Dalton, Ryan Yoss of New Philadelphia and fiancé Carla Mast and Rachel Notz of Dover and her fiancé Jonathan Powell; three great grandchildren, Melanie, Keri, and Cameron Miller; brothers and sisters, John Summers of Canton, Helen (Maurice) Buxton of Scio, Marion (Norma) Summers of Canton, Judy Swonger of Canton, Linda (Alfred) Collins of Canton, and a sister in law, Sally (Robert) Winkelman.

A funeral service celebrating Lee�(TM)s life will be held Friday, March 16, 2007 at 1:30pm in the NewPointe Community Church with Pastors Dwight Mason, Ron May, and Robert Piatt officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Thursday from 5-8pm. Friends will also be received on Friday from 1-1:30pm.
