Lena Antonelli

Lena Antonelli, age 89, of Dover, died Saturday, July 12, 2014, at the New Dawn Retirement Community.

Born October 23, 1924, in Midvale, she was a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Zambotti) Festi. Lena graduated from St. Joseph High School, Dover, and, on May 17, 1947, married Albert V. Antonelli in St. Joseph Church, Dover. The couple reared six children and shared nearly fifty-six years of marriage prior to Albert's passing on February 28, 2003. Lena was a loving homemaker, and a faithful member of St. Joseph Church where she belonged to the Christian Mothers Group and the Third Order of Secular Franciscans. She especially enjoyed productions of The Little Theatre of Tuscarawas County, playing cards with family and friends, and couples bowling.

Survivors include three daughters, Patricia Lorenzoni (David) of Stone Creek, Mary Lenarz (Stephen) of Dover, and Angela Antonelli (Don Boyd) of Dallas, Texas; three sons, Albert Antonelli (Terri) of Dayton, Anthony Antonelli (Jean) and Michael Antonelli (Kay), both of Cleveland; twenty-one grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-child; three brothers, Frank Festi (Angeline), John Festi and Ralph Festi (Marie), all of Dover; sister-in-law, Sue Festi of Dover; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, and her husband, Albert, she was preceded in death by two infant sisters, three brothers, Virgil, Eligio and Lewis Festi.

A funeral Mass will be held Thursday, July 17, at 10:30 a.m., in St. Joseph Church, Dover, with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dover. Following the committal, there will be a luncheon in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard, Dover.
