Lena M. Deromedi, 80, of Dover, Ohio died Sunday, September 22, 2002 in her home following an extended illness.
She was a longtime waitress at the former Espenschied�(TM)s Restaurant where she worked for forty years. She was also an employee of the former Hotel Reeves at Dover.
Born March 4, 1922 in New Philadelphia, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Elva Gragis Magnolia.
Lena was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover. She was a graduate of New Philadelphia High School.
She is survived by her husband, John E. Deromedi with whom she would have celebrated 60 years of marriage on October 27.
She is also survived by her son, Patrick Deromedi of Evergreen, Colorado; two granddaughters, Joann Deromedi and Michelle Deromedi both of San Diego, California; two great grandchildren; her special friend Ruth (Rocco) Polce of Dover and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Trimmer.
A Rite of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10:30 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover or Hospice of Tuscarawas County.
