Leoda Kelker, 89, of the Country Club Center and formerly of South Ave., Dover, Ohio died Saturday, September 1, 2001 at Union Hospital following an extended illness.
Born March 25, 1912 in Blowing Springs, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Burnett and Evvie Green Knott.
Leoda was a member of the St. Marks A.M.E. Zion Church in Dover where she served as a Deaconess. She was also a member of the Blue Star Mothers, Church Women United, and the Dover Salvation Army Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Kelker who died September 13, 1995.

Two sisters Katherine Dalton and Deola Kelker both of Rankin, Pa.
Her brother in law Frank (Doc) Kelker of Henderson, Nevada
Along with 37 grandchildren,48 great grandchildren and 16 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one great great granddaughter, Brooklyn Davis and two great great grandsons, Savon Blackmon and Lashon Pratt.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, September 6, 2001 at 11 am in the First Baptist Church at Dover with Rev. Beverly A. Lewis officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover Wednesday from 6-9 pm.
