Leslie L. Stevens Jr.

Leslie L. Stevens Jr., 67, of New Philadelphia passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2013 following an extended illness.

Born on November 19, 1945 in Columbus, Ohio he was the son of the late Leslie Sr. and Elsie (Wise) Stevens. He is also preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Leslie worked for many different factories throughout his lifetime and was a heavy machinery operator. He also worked for the city of New Cumberland, West Virginia in the water district and street department. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and working in his garage.

He will be sadly missed by his former wife, Nancy Cross Stevens; three sons, Robin (Lola) Stevens of McDonald, PA, Richard Stevens of New Philadelphia, Rusty Stevens of New Philadelphia; three daughters, Angela Mansfield, Tammy (Thomas) Greening, and Sheila Stevens all of New Philadelphia; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, seven sisters, and one brother.

A celebration of Leslie's life will be held at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Thursday, June 6, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Interment will take place at Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 4-7pm.
