Lester E. Tice

Lester E. Tice, 73, of Dover passed away on Friday, April 30, 2021 in the Community Hospice Truman House.

Born June 19, 1947 in Dover he was a son of the late Charles and Laura Smart Tice. Lester was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bill, Carl, Paul and Virgil Tice; sisters, Loretta Sayre and Beatrice Tice.

Lester was employed at Fairfield Brick in Zoarville for over 25 years and eventually retired from Stark Truss in New Philadelphia after many years of service. He enjoyed restoring classic cars, tinkering in his garage, going to garage sales and taking care of his yard.

Lester is survived by his wife of 54 years, Janice Sayre Tice whom he married on March 24, 1967; children, Edward Tice of Dover, Catheran (Ron) Widder of Kansas; grandchildren, Mandi, Trey, Kori Widder; five great grandchildren; siblings, Pat (Dave) McDiffitt of Mineral City, Jeff (Anna) Tice of Canton.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover. There are no services or calling hours.
