Lester W. "Wayne" Page

Lester W. “Wayne” Page, 84, of Dover passed away at his home on Monday, April 24, 2023.

He was born on October 20, 1938 in Dover and was a son of the late Arthur and Mary Striker Page. Wayne was also preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Page on January 1, 2022; daughter, Beth Moore; brothers, Arthur, William, Jerry and Horace Page; sister, Rhea Thornton and infant granddaughter, Christie Kay Mann.

Wayne was a dedicated employee of Danner Press in Canton, retiring after 45 years of service; and was a faithful member of the Dover Bible Church. He was an incredibly talented handy man who enjoyed mowing his yard, and most of his neighbor’s yards, wood working and antique car restoration, with his pride and joy being his fully restored 1931 Model A Ford. Wayne also loved being outdoors, especially fishing and camping every summer with Randy, Kay, Angel and Spud at Leesville Lake.

A loving and caring father and grandfather, Wayne is survived by his children, Chris White of Canton, Kay (Randy) Shutt, Kathy Page, and Terry Page all of Dover; sister, Ruth (John) Samsa of Beach City; nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren with another great grandchild on the way.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 28th starting at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover with Pastor Mark Britton officiating. The family will be greeting friends at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
