Linda Louise Leavers

Linda Louise Leavers, 56, of Dover went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Wednesday, March 12, 2008, surrounded by all of her children. She fought a valiant fight against cancer and heart failure, and her Faith in God throughout was an inspiration to all of her family and friends. She was a Christ-loving Christian woman who centered her life with the steadfast faithfulness of God's Word. Throughout her life she shared her beliefs with her children and grandchildren, and those beliefs will live on through them.

Born, April 7, 1951 in Dennison, she was the only daughter of the late Lloyd and Gladys Louise (Gray) Abel.

Linda was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed by all of those who survive her, which include her husband, Dallas H. Leavers, with whom she celebrated 41 years of marriage to on March 8th; her children, Denise Louise (Randy) Miller, Joseph H. (Kori) Leavers of New Philadelphia, and Steven W.D. Leavers of the home; four, soon to be five, beautiful granddaughters who she loved dearly, Linda Marie Leavers, Alexis Kristine Leavers, Chelsea Louise Miller, Lindsey Faith Miller, and one expected in August; her brothers, William (Debbie) Abel of Dover, Ronnie (Sue) Abel of Uhrichsville, and Roy (Anna Mae) Abel of Dennison; many nieces and nephews will also miss her deeply.

Family and friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Sunday, March 16, 2-5 p.m. A service celebrating Linda's life will by held Monday, March 17, at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with Pastor Mark Jones of the True Hope Community Fellowship in Navarre officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park. Following the committal, Linda's family and friends are invited to the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard in Dover for a reception.
