Lindley L. "Lin" Singer, age 69, of Dover, passed away Wednesday, September 30, 2015.
Born May 30, 1946, at Uhrichsville, he was a son of the late Delbert and Margaret (Kauffman) Singer. Lin graduated from Conotton Valley High School in 1964, and married the former Rita Zub in 1966. The couple had a son, Travis, and shared twenty-eight years of marriage, prior to Rita's passing in 1994. Lin was employed by the City of Dover in the Electric Field Division, where he worked for forty-one years, retiring as superintendent in 2008.
He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and playing golf. Lin was fond of dogs, owning several over the years and trained them for hunting. He also liked to have fun with his family and enjoyed a good practical joke.
Survivors include his son, Travis (Christina Millburn) Singer of Scio; his brothers, Charles (Kay) Singer of Louisville, and Dallan (Shirley) Singer of Canton; his nieces and nephews, who were very special to him; and his grand-dog, Kosh.
Travis would like to express his gratitude to everyone who was part of his father's life - Lin appreciated them all so very much. God bless you, and hold the good memories close. Special thanks to Carl Bell and Larry Lautzenheiser for their friendship and faithful visits.
In accordance with Lin's wishes, he will be cremated and buried privately, with Rita, in Dover Burial Park. To sign an online guestbook and share a fond memory of Lin, please visit the Obituaries and Flowers link on the Toland-Herzig website.
