Lloyd P. Stein

Lloyd P. Stein, 86, of Dover, died Friday, May 4, 2007, in Union Hospital following a long illness.

Born, Dec. 12, 1920, in Dover, Lloyd was a son of the late Phillip and Hazel Becker Stein. As a youth, he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps and then later worked for the former Shenango Penn Mold Co. at Dover. He retired from Marlite after forty years of service.

Lloyd loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed gardening and fishing. He was very handy and did much of the remodeling on his own home including electrical and plumbing work.

Survivors include his wife, Florence V. (Brady) Stein, whom he married Jun. 2, 1947; a son, Steven (wife, Paula) Stein of Dover; granddaughter, Amanda Stein of Dover; and his twin brother, Floyd (wife, Jane) Stein, also of Dover.

In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by a sister, Violet Crone.

His life will be celebrated in a service Tuesday, May 8, at 1:30 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory, 246 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens, Dover. Family and friends are invited to call at the funeral Home on Tuesday, 12 �" 1:30 p.m.

Instead of flowers, the family suggests that contributions in Lloyd�(TM)s memory be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 1132, Fairfax, VA 22038-1132.
