Logan L. Mason, 27, of New Philadelphia died unexpectedly Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012 in his home.
Logan was born April 6, 1985 in Massillon, Ohio, the son of Melissa Mason Burkhart with whom he resided and the late Leo Incarnato.
He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover. He will be remembered for his love of cats and dogs including his feline companion, Tux. Other interests include computers having studied Graphic Arts at the Buckeye Career Center. He graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 2003 and had previously attended St. Joseph during his grade school years. He was also an avid Grateful Dead fan and enjoyed various styles of music including classic rock.
In addition to his mother, he will be sadly missed by his family including his maternal grandparents, Dick and Fran Mason of Dover and his paternal grandmother, Marlene Incarnato of Oak Harbor, Washington; his maternal aunts and uncles, Rick (Julie) Mason of Dover, Melinda Mason (also his godmother) and Tim Frank of New Philadelphia. His sisters (actually cousins) Victoria Frank, Madison Frank (Rocky Moore Jr.), and Paige Frank as well as other maternal cousins, Russell Mason, Alex Smith, and John Smith along with his maternal great uncle, David Julian Martin of Chicago; paternal aunts and uncles include John (Marge) Incarnato of Canton, Lynda (David) Gibbs of New Philadelphia, Tony (Lisa) Incarnato (also Logan's godfather), LaVella Incarnato of Port Washington, Holly (Rick) Flickinger of Pt. Washington, Mitchell Incarnato of Oak Harbor, Wash., Patricia Capriola of Akron, and Cassie Gibbons of Columbus along with 15 paternal cousins including Socrates Incarnato of Seattle, Washington.
In addition to his father, he was also preceded by his paternal grandfather, John Incarnato, an uncle, Nick Incarnato and a cousin, Ricky Flickinger.
Logan's family will receive friends on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 from 2-5pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover with a Christian Wake Service beginning at 4:45pm. Cremation will follow the visitation. A memorial mass will be held Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012 beginning at 10:00am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover with Fr. Matt Hoover officiating. (All who plan to attend should go directly to the church). Inurnment will follow in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. Because of health and allergy reasons, in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Operation Warm & Cozy, 114 E. High Ave., New Philadelphia, Ohio 44663 because of Logan's love for animals.
