Lois Dreher, 97, of Strasburg died Friday, January 25, 2002 at Park Village Health Care Center following an extended illness.
She retired in 1966 from the Strasburg School System after 27 years as a first grade teacher. She had also taught at several one-room schoolhouses in the area.
Born May 22, 1904 in Strasburg she was a daughter of the late Martin and Christina Meininger Mizer.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Strasburg where she served on council and was a Sunday School Teacher. She was also a member of Strasburg Women�(TM)s Club and was Secretary of Grandview Union Cemetery Board. She graduated from Strasburg High School in 1922, and was the oldest living Strasburg High graduate; she also graduated from Kent State Normal School. Lois enjoyed taking care of, and being with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband Carl Dreher who died on February 13, 1991.
She is survived by a daughter: Ruth (Elden) Frock of North Canton

Brother: Warren (Gertrude) Mizer of Canton
Seven grandchildren: Susan Edwards, Robert Frock, Steven, Douglas, James, Mike and
David Dreher

She was also preceded in death by an infant great granddaughter, two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 29, 2002 at 10:30 am in the First Lutheran Church at Strasburg with Pastor Fred Grosse officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Union Cemetery in Strasburg. Friends can call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home in Dover on Monday from 6-8 pm.
