Lois Luella Stewart, 87, of Dover, died Friday, March 3, 2006 at Country Club Retirement Center in Dover.
Lois was born on November 23, 1918, in Belmont County, where she spent much of her life, and was the daughter of the late George and Lena Myers Ring. After graduating from high school, she continued her studies at Ohio University where she earned a degree in Education. Lois was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church in New Philadelphia.
Her loving husband, Donald, whom she married on September 15, 1945, survives Lois. Other survivors include: two sons; Rodger (Debbie) Stewart of Newcomerstown, and Craig (Betty) Stewart of Dover; a brother; Edward Ring of Martin�(TM)s Ferry, two sisters; Esther (Bill) Kremer of Kettering, Ohio, and Marian (Norman) Walters of Littleton, Colorado, a sister-in-law; Retha Ring of Wintersville, Ohio, three grandchildren; Nicole Stewart of Newcomerstown, Ben (Kristine) Basnett of Copley, Ohio, and Anne Basnett of Dublin, Ohio, and two great grandchildren; Brady and Ronnie Basnett of Copley.
In addition to her parents, her brother, Bob Ring and her sister, Martha Cleaver precedes Lois in death.
A celebration of Lois�(TM) life will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, March 6, 2006 at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory in New Philadelphia with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Burial will be at the East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia. Friends and family are invited to call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 until the service begins at 1:00.
