Loren "Wade" Middaugh

Loren "Wade" Middaugh, a well-respected figure in the Sugarcreek community and co-owner of Middaugh Enterprises for over 60 years, passed away peacefully on June 4, 2023 at the age of 89. Wade was born on August 26, 1933, in Sugarcreek, Ohio to the late Ammon and Emma Hostetler Middaugh.

Wade will always be remembered as a very generous and giving person who gave back to his community through numerous donations and support to the local church and charities. He believed in the importance of helping others and his legacy will always be one of kindness and compassion.

When he wasn't working at Middaugh Enterprises, Wade enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren; Nick, Tyler, Lucas, Amber, Baillie, Wyatt, Rocky, Sarah and Eddie. He adored them all deeply. His warmth and love were felt by everyone around him.

Wade is survived by his loving wife Jeri Fete Middaugh whom he had been married to since June 9, 1956. Together they weathered life's ups and downs through unwavering love and support for each other. Wade is also survived by his son, Steve (Linda) Middaugh of Dover; daughters, Lisa (Randy) Immel of Sugarcreek, Amanda Donley  of Sugarcreek; 10 great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

Wade held a special place in many hearts throughout the entirety of his life. He was respected in his community for the incredible contributions he made to better it. His family will remember him as someone whose kindness knew no limits. Though he may be gone from this earth, his spirit will never leave us - it lives on in the hearts of all who knew him.

Cremation has been entrusted to the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover.  A private graveside service will be held at a later date in the St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery at Dover.
