Loretta J. Mccartney

Loretta J. McCartney, 85, of Bolivar and formerly of New Philadelphia died Saturday, September 27, 2003 at her home following a brief illness.

She retired from US Ceramic Tile at East Sparta after 35 years of service.

Born March 29, 1918 in Dover she was a daughter of the late John and Bertha Dickerhof Mason.

Loretta was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter: Sandra (Gary) Roe of Bolivar

Two sisters: Anita (Del) Alpeter of Michigan
Dawn (Dick) Lyons of Canton

Four grandchildren: Ronald and David Roe

Scott McCartney

11 great grandchildren

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by a son, Donald McCartney; granddaughter, Susan Roe; three brothers, Dean, Max and Jack Mason; two sisters, Lillian Groves and Shirley Greegor.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at 2:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Glen Shedlock officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friends can call at the funeral home on Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
