Louise Ann Maybaugh

Louise Ann Maybaugh, 80, of Dover died on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Union Hospital in Dover following an extended illness.

Born on September 24, 1937 in Midvale, she was the daughter of Albert Anthony and Lois Ann (Gamble) D’Agnone. She graduated from St. Mary’s High School in Dennison.

She was the devoted wife for 50 years to Joseph Maybaugh, whom she married on May 14, 1960. He preceded her in death on March 6, 2011. She was also preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph Maybaugh Jr.; her daughter, Barbara Perez; sister, Loretta D’Agnone; brother, Lawrence “Buddy” D’Agnone; and her brother- in-law, Cloise “Fudie” Maybaugh.

Many years ago, she worked at Montgomery Ward. She also worked for Reese Trucking, where she retired after 43 years, but she continued to work there until recently. Louise was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. She was a caregiver and the biggest supporter for the entire family.

She will sadly be missed by her children: Julianne (Ivan) Hochstetler of Dover, Jeffrey Maybaugh of Dover; grandchildren, Peter Perez (Arlene Hernandez), and Jameson Maybaugh of Dover; along with her sister-in-law, Judy Maybaugh of Brewster.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 11:00am with Father Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will take place at St. Joseph Calvary Cemetery in Dover. A meal will be served following the service of committal at the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center. Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on Monday, November 20 from 9:00am until 10:45am.
