Louise J. Gebelin

Louise J. Gebelin, 80, a life resident of Dover, died Friday, July 23, 2010, in the Park Village Health Care Center.

She was born May 13, 1930 at Dover, the daughter of the late Louis and Ida Fondriest Gebelin.

In 1992, Louise retired from First Federal Savings & Loan, now First Federal Community Bank, where she had worked for many years as a teller.

A 1948 graduate of the former St. Joseph High School, Louise was a lifelong member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover. She was a member of St. Joseph's Seniors, and really enjoyed her many years singing in the traditional choir.

She is survived by: a sister, Rose Gebelin of Dover; 3 nieces, including Mildred (Robert) Edder of New Philadelphia; 3 great nieces, which includes Staci (Matthew) Reed of Mt. Vernon; and 2 great nephews of which Robert Gebelin is one. Special cousins Susan, Tara and Damien also survive her.

Along with her parents, Louise was preceded in death by: 2 brothers, Carl "Charlie" and Frank; a sister, Annie; and a nephew Michael.

A funeral mass in celebration of Louise's life will be held Monday, July 26, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dover. Fr. Jimmy Hatfield will officiate. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Dover. Following the burial, a meal will be served for family and friends in the St. Joseph Church Family Life Center.

Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday. The Rosary will be prayed at 4:45 p.m.
