Lucille C. Baad, 94, of Dover died Friday, February 24, 2017 in the Community Hospice Truman House.
Born March 10, 1922 in Dover she was a daughter of the late Giovanni and Condita Santilli Gualtieri. Lucille was also preceded in death by her husband, Russell C. Baad on April 5, 1949; brother, Edward Gualtieri; sisters, Erma Petrella, Jenny Sacchini and Annie Lorenz.
Lucille was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and its Christian Mother's Club, as well as, the Dover Moose and VFW Auxiliary. She loved cooking, baking and canning.
A wonderful and loving mother and grandmother, Lucille will be sadly missed by her children, John (Theresa) Baad of Canton, Connie Stephens, Linda Baad both of Dover and Sharon (Bill) Rose of Massillon; sister, Mary Carducci of Youngstown; brother in law, Charles (Patty) Cramer of New Philadelphia; grandchildren, Shelly, Brenda, Jimmy, Tony, Brian and Samantha; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, March 2 at 11:00 am in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Jimmy Hatfield officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover. The Toland-Herzig Funeral Home and Crematory at Dover is handling arrangements.
