Luke William Cabbage, 19, of New Philadelphia died on September 11, 2017. His life was tragically taken.
Born in Mt. Sterling, Kentucky on May 4, 1998, Luke was the son of Billy and Kathy (West) Cabbage. He was preceded in death by his father; and grandfather, William “Bill” West; along with his great grandparents, Lomas and Isabelle Shuman.
Luke graduated with the class of 2016 from New Philadelphia High School. He attended Akron University for a year following graduation. He formerly worked at Buehler’s and currently worked at Subway, both in New Philadelphia.
He enjoyed traveling and competing in Kendama competitions. He competed in Ohio, Michigan, and Tennessee. Luke had a contagious smile and was a friendly face to many.
He will be sadly missed by his mother; Kathy Cabbage of New Philadelphia; grandmother, Connie West of New Philadelphia; his aunt, Billie (Rick) Fioretto of Las Vegas; uncle, Alan West of New Philadelphia; close cousins, Grant, Katie, Andrew, and Ashanti; along with his dogs, Toby and Tiny.
Friends can call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Dover on on Sunday, September 17, 2017 from 4-6pm. A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 18, 2017 at 11:00am at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Flood officiating. Interment will take place at Evergreen Burial Park in New Philadelphia.
