Lulu 'Zuby' Murphy, 74 of Dover died Monday, November 22, 1999 at the Hennis Care Centre following an extended illness.
Born May 30, 1920 in Burnsville, West Virginia she was a daughter of the late William and Merle Gibson Tomblin Sr.
She was a member of Bisel United Methodist Church and a 1938 graduate of Burnsville High School. She enjoyed gardening and children.
Zuby was preceded in death by her husband Lanta J. Murphy who died on September 25, 1977.
She is survived by three daughters: Bonnie and Glenn Yost of Brunswick.
Roxie and Steve Long of Zoarville.
Dixie and Dwaine Shonk of Uhrichsville.
One son: Bob and Rosalind Murphy of Zoarville.
One sister: Clara and Larry Nohl of Bolivar.
One brother: William and Betty Tomblin Jr. of Dover.
11 grandchildren, 3 step-grandsons and 13 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a great grandson Anthony M. Rienerth, 3 sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 27, 1999 at 10:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with David Smith officiating. Interment will be at the Ridgecrest Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Friday from 6-9 pm.
