Madeline A. Wallick

Madeline A. Wallick, 85, of Middletown and formerly of Walnut St., Dover, Ohio died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2012 at Garden Manor retirement center in Middletown.

Madeline was born on June 21, 1926 in Rockford, Illinois. On July 30, 1945 she was united in marriage to Richard W. Wallick who preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her brother Laverne and sister Doris.

Madeline worked for the former Bank One in Dover and was a member of the Broadway United Methodist Church in New Philadelphia. She was the longtime, devoted volunteer coordinator of Hospice of Tuscarawas County (now Community Hospice).

She is sadly missed by her four sons Rick Wallick of Dayton, Scott (Lorna) Wallick of West Chester, Ohio, Mike (Diane) Wallick of Hamilton, and Tim (Brenda) Wallick of Pataskala; seven grandchildren Rich Wallick, Bryan Wallick, Rebecca Blanchard, Michael Wallick, Blake Wallick, Benjamin Wallick and Kevin Wallick along with four great grandchildren Clay and Peter Blanchard and Austin and Rebecca Wallick.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at 2pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover with Chad Durfee (Chaplain of Community Hospice) presiding.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband, Richard in the Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-2pm.
