Marciano Ajanel Ixcoy

Marciano Ajanel Ixcoy, de 70 años, de New Philadelphia, falleció el jueves 27 de abril de 2023 en el Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital.

Nacido el 12 de julio de 1952 en Aguacatán, Huehuetenango, Guatemala, era hijo del fallecido Pedro Ajanel y Petrona Ixcoy. Marciano llegó a los Estados Unidos hace 17 años y estuvo empleado gran parte de ese tiempo en la industria agrícola. Algunos de sus pasatiempos favoritos eran andar en bicicleta, ir de compras, buscar ofertas y tocar la guitarra.

Le sobreviven su esposa, Santa Eugenia Sica Alvarado; sus hijos, Samuel, Roberto, Juan, Cecilia, Santos, Odilia, Alejandra, Juana y Lázara Ajanel Sica; y sus nietos

Además de sus padres, a Marciano le precedieron en la muerte dos hijos, los mellizos, Nicolás y Vicenta Ajanel Sica.

El funeral se llevará a cabo el domingo 7 de mayo a partir de las 2 p. m. en la Iglesia Nueva Jerusalén, 117 Bowers Ave. N.W., New Philadelphia, Ohio. El entierro será más tarde en Guatemala.

Se pueden hacer donaciones a la familia para ayudar con los gastos finales de Marciano.

Marciano Ajanel Ixcoy, age 70, of New Philadelphia, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023, in Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital.

Born July 12, 1952, in Aguacatan, Huehuetenango, Guatemala, he was a son of the late Pedro Ajanel and Petrona Ixcoy. Marciano came to the United States 17 years ago and was employed much of that time in the agricultural industry. Some of his favorite pastimes were riding his bicycle, shopping - looking for bargains, and playing the guitar.

He is survived by his wife, Santa Eugenia Sica Alvarado; his children, Samuel, Roberto, Juan, Cecilia, Santos, Odilia, Alejandra, Juana and Lazara Ajanel Sica; and his grandchildren.

Besides his parents, Marciano was preceded in death by two children - twins, Nicolas and Vicenta Ajanel Sica.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, May 7, beginning at 2 p.m., in Iglesia Nueva Jerusalen, 117 Bowers Ave. N.W., New Philadelphia, Ohio. Burial will be later in Guatemala.

Donations may be made to the family to help with Marciano’s final expenses.
