Margaret A. 'Peggy' Douglas

Margaret A. 'Peggy' Douglas, 61, of 227 E 3rd St., Dover, died Monday, November 15, 1999 in Aultman Hospital at Canton.

A graduate of the Aultman School of Nursing, Peggy spent 32 years working as a nurse at Union Hospital.

Born April 19, 1938 at Dover, she was a daughter of the late Charles & Jessie Walton Schlafly.

Peggy was a member of the First Christian Church at Dover.  She enjoyed playing card games, and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Vance 'Jay' Douglas, whom she wed on March 21, 1959.

She is also survived by many nieces, great nieces, nephews & great nephews, and caring neighbors, co-workers, and friends who helped with her care.

In addition to her parents, Peggy was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Richard, Paul, and Donald Schlafly, and a sister, Irene Albert.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 18, at 2:00 in the First Christian Church at Dover with Kennard Parrott officiating.
