MARGARET ALICE WENDLING, 95, OF DOVER, FORMERLY OF BEACH CITY, DIED WEDNESDAY, SEPT. 3, 2003, IN HENNIS CARE CENTRE.

BORN SEPT. 20, 1907, IN LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, TUSCARAWAS COUNTY, SHE WAS A DAUGHTER OF THE LATE BENJAMIN AND MARTHA MANN EBERLY. MARGARET WAS REARED IN BEACH CITY AND ATTENDED BEACH CITY SCHOOLS. SHE WAS A HOMEMAKER AND HER LIFE REVOLVED AROUND HER FAMILY. MARGARET WAS A MEMBER OF GRACE EVANGELICAL LUTHERAN CHURCH, DOVER, AND ITS LOYALTY BIBLE CLASS. SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE TUSCARAWAS COUNTY Y.M.C.A., AND ENJOYED TAKING PART IN THE “TWINGES IN THE HINGES�(TM) CLASS. ADDITIONALLY, MARGARET WAS A LIFE MEMBER OF THE DOVER HISTORICAL SOCIETY, AND WAS A MEMBER OF THE TUSCARAWAS COUNTY SENIOR CITIZENS GROUP.

SURVIVORS INCLUDE A DAUGHTER, WALDINE (ARTHUR) KRANTZ OF DOVER; FIVE GRANDCHILDREN, ARTHUR DOUGLAS (SHARON) KRANTZ OF NEW PHILADELPHIA, HOLLY (RICK) VESCO OF BOLIVAR, JAN MARGARET KRANTZ OF DOVER, JACQUELYN SUE SPRING OF ANN ARBOR, MI, AND JILL LOUISE (DAVID) BARLOCK OF DENNISON; NINE GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN, ZACHARY, ASHLEY, TYLER AND MICHAELA KRANTZ OF NEW PHILADELPHIA, AINSLEY TE GROTENHUIS OF ATLANTA, GA, JUSTIN TE GROTENHUIS OF WASHINGTON, D.C., JASON BARLOCK OF ORLANDO, FL, AND JEREMY AND ANGELA BARLOCK OF DENNISON; THREE HALF-SISTERS, BIRDIE ANN (WILLIAM) ALEXANDER AND RUTH FAHRINI, BOTH OF BEACH CITY, AND JUDY (DAVID) HIMES OF STRASBURG; A HALF-BROTHER, BENJAMIN A. (JEAN) EBERLY OF BREWSTER; SISTER-IN-LAW, JUNE EBERLY OF MIDVALE; SEVERAL NIECES AND NEPHEWS.

IN ADDITION TO HER PARENTS, SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER HUSBAND, WALTER F. WENDLING, IN 1986; A DAUGHTER, MARTHA SUE SPRING; A SISTER, HILDA ROBINETTE; TWO BROTHERS, WILLIAM AND HARRY EBERLY; AND STEP-MOTHER, GERTRUDE WADE EBERLY.

A FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE HELD MONDAY, SEPT. 8, AT 11 A.M., IN THE TOLAND-HERZIG FUNERAL HOME, DOVER, WITH PASTOR BRIAN K. NUNNALLY OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN DOVER BURIAL PARK. FOLLOWING THE COMMITTAL, THERE WILL BE A MEAL IN THE TOLAND-HERZIG MONARCH CENTER. VISITATION WILL BE SUNDAY, SEPT. 7, 2-5 P.M., IN THE FUNERAL HOME.
