Margaret C. Boscarillo

Margaret C. Boscarillo, 70, of New Philadelphia, died Sunday, February 28, 2010 in her home with her loving family around her. Margaret had battled cancer for several years.

Born June 23, 1939, in Cleveland, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Terplan Mikulec. Margaret graduated from St. Stephen's High School in Cleveland, and, on March 1, 1962, married Frank Boscarillo in Ascension Church, Cleveland. She and her family had resided in New Philadelphia since 1970.

Margaret was a member of Sacred Heart Church in New Philadelphia. Faith and family were most important in her life. She was a loving, devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Among her hobbies were reading and playing a good game of Scrabble.

Survivors include her husband, Frank; two daughters, Lisa (Dale) Ickes of Columbus, and Mary Boscarillo (companion, Jon Loy) Deedrick of Massillon; two sons, Frank (Michele) Boscarillo of Columbus, and Tom (Renee) Boscarillo of Hammondsville; former son-in-law, Scott Deedrick of New Philadelphia; nine grandchildren, Andrew, Megan, Amy, Frankie and Michael Boscarillo, Brenton Ickes, Ben, Max and Brenna Deedrick; two sisters, Mary Ann (Sam) Spooner of Middleburg Heights, and Wilma Parete of Brookpark; a brother, Jimmy Mikulec of Brunswick; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Dudash; and by two brothers, Andrew and Ted Mikulec.

A funeral Mass will be held Thursday, March 4, at 10:30 a.m., in Sacred Heart Church, 139 Third St., New Philadelphia, with Msgr. George J. Schlegel officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, New Philadelphia. Following the committal, there will be a luncheon in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center on the Boulevard in Dover.
