Margaret Elizabeth (Mizer) Osburn, 88, of Dover, Ohio died Wednesday, February 7, 2007 in the Country Club Retirement Center following an extended illness.

Margaret was born August 29, 1918 to Herbert and Ida Belle Auman Mizer of Winfield ans spent almost all of her life near her birthplace.

She attended Winfield Elementary School and graduated from Dover High School in 1936.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, infant sister, and her husband of over 60 years, Charles Edgar Osburn in 1999.

Margaret is survived by her three children, Joe (Peggy) Osburn of Parma, Ohio, Judy (Richard) Gummere of Dover and Tom (Missy) Osburn of Scottsdale, Arizona; seven grandchildren, John (Carol) Osburn, Amy (Ed) Linville both of Columbus, Jay (Sally) Gummere of Granville, Trevor (Tracy) Gummere of West Lafayette, Dr. Jeff (Katie) Osburn of Prescott, Arizona, Jason (Carin) Osburn of Boston, Massachusetts, and Seth (Rebecca) Osburn of Phoenix, Arizona and 14 great grandchildren. A sister, Esther (Emmett) Riley of Dover also survives.

Peg, as her friends called her, found time as a wife and mother to work outside the home in food service for Dover Schools for over 25 years, beginning at Winfield Elementary and finishing as supervisor at the high school. Mother enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, and joss card club for over 50 years.

Mother passed at Country Club nursing care surrounded by wonderful caregivers. Previous to Country Club Nursing, she had spent nine years at Walnut Hills Community, first in Independent Living, then Retirement and finally nursing care. At Walnut Hills, many friends, neighbors, and staff members filled her failing years with peace and comfort. A special roommate and friend, Ada Sommers, an angel on earth for mother, preceded her in death, March, 2004.

A funeral service celebrating Margaret�(TM)s life will be held Saturday, February 10, 2007 at 11:30am in the Grace Lutheran Church at Dover with Pastor Jim Lewis officiating. Private interment will be held in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 9:30am to 11:30am. A luncheon will follow services in the church fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers, donations to both of Margatet�(TM)s favorite churches will honor her life.
