Margaret I. Snyder-Edwards

Margaret I. Snyder-Edwards, 93, of Park Village Health Care Center, and a long-time resident of Blacksnake Hill Rd. N.E., in Dover, died Thursday, Nov. 9, 2006.

Born Mar. 12, 1913, in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Edward W. and Emma Goodman Lieser. Margaret graduated from Dover High School and worked for the former Schwartz Apparel of Dover. She retired from the East Ohio Gas Co. following many years of service.

She was a member of St. John�(TM)s United Church of Christ in Dover, its Johanna and Friendship Circles and Women�(TM)s Fellowship. She also belonged to the Dover Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, and the Dover Women�(TM)s Study Club.

Margaret loved the outdoors, she owned a farm and thoroughly enjoyed the work associated with it. She raised Hereford Cattle, and also had a special fondness for Airedale Terriers, of which she owned several over the years.

Survivors include a great-nephew, Truman “Joe” Fisher, III of St. Louis, MO; and two great-nieces Marjorie Fisher Keeler of North Canton and Maryann Fisher of Akron.

In addition to her parents, Margaret was preceded in death by her first husband, Paul M. Snyder in 1977, and by her second husband, John Edwards in 1995; two brothers, Walter and Homer Lieser; and by a niece, Helen Louise Lieser Fisher.

Margaret�(TM)s life will be celebrated in a service Monday, Nov. 13, at 2 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, Dover, with Rev. Michael W. Lowry officiating. Burial will be in Dover Burial Park.
