Margaret L. Dell

Margaret L. Dell 88, of Dover and formerly of Strasburg passed peacefully Tuesday, May 12, 2015 following a brief illness.

Margaret was a former clerical employee at General Telephone Company in New Philadelpha and had also formerly worked at Marsh Wall Products.

Born July 25, 1926 in Dover, she was the daughter of the late Claude C. and Elfrieda (Beuter) Herzig. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister in law, Richard and Marilyn Herzig and two sisters in law, Gertrude Frank and Isabelle Meese.
She was a lifelong member of the St. John 's United Church in Dover. She was a 1944 graduate of Dover High School and enjoyed the monthly get togethers with classmates. She was also active in the Tuscarawas Senior Center and the Strasburg Seniors. She was proud of her Zoar heritage and was a member of the Zoar Community Association. She had many interests including reading mystery novels, many trips that included Europe, Hawaii and Myrtle Beach and crocheting. She was also a lover of all animals.

She will be sadly missed by the love of her life, Arthur Dell Jr. with whom she would have celebrated 67 years of marriage May 29; nieces and nephews include John (Joyce) Herzig and Peggy (Rick) Holmes both of Dover and several great nieces and nephews.

Margaret's life will be celebrated Friday, May 15, 2015 beginning at 11am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory at Dover with Pastor Dotty Hartzell officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10am until the time of service.
