Margaret L. Stemple

Margaret L. Stemple, 89, a lifelong resident of E. 5th St., Dover, died Monday, January 12, 2004 in the Park Village Health Care Center.

On March 1, 1977, Margaret retired from the former Joy Manufacturing Company at New Philadelphia.

Born February 16, 1914 at Brazil, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Ida Metz Meiring.

She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover and was active in its Christian Mothers club. She also enjoyed participating in activities with the St. Joseph�(TM)s senior group.

Margaret was proud of her family and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester A. Stemple, who died on November 1, 1961.

Survivors include: three daughters; Carol (Robert) Dumermuth of Dover, Jean (William) Dumermuth of Bolivar, Mary Kay (John) Reed of Dover, five grandchildren; Ron (Trisha) Dumermuth, Ryan (Heather) Dumermuth, Rod (Tiffany) Dumermuth, Jason Dumermuth and Kristen Dumermuth, and two great grandchildren; Chase and Samantha Dumermuth.

In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by: three brothers, four sisters and an infant granddaughter.

Fr. William Arnold will celebrate a funeral mass on Thursday, January 15, at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dover. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover on Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. with a Christian Wake service being conducted at 7:45 p.m.

The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 613 N. Tuscarawas Ave., Dover.
