Margaret Lucille Marburger

Margaret Lucille Marburger, 91, of New Philadelphia, died Monday, December 26, 2005 in Union Hospital.

She was a well-known area LPN who worked for 17 years with Massillon State Hospital and the Tuscarawas County Retirement Home. She was instrumental in the organization of the LPN of Ohio�(TM)s Division 20, which has included hundreds of local LPN�(TM)s over the years.

Born April 6, 1914 in Lorain, she was the daughter of the late V. L. & Hattie Steele McAndrews.

Margaret was a card shark who always enjoyed a good game of jass. She had been a member of the Dover Army-Navy club and the New Philadelphia Eagles auxiliary. She was also proud of her longtime affiliation with Royal Neighbors of America, following in the footsteps of her mother and grandmother.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Marburger, who died in 1976.

Survivors include: three daughters, Maxine (Robert) Whitman of Midvale, Virginia (Ronald) Smith of New Phila., and Doris (Richard) Mussman of Kingsland, GA; twenty-one grandchildren; and many loving great and great-great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by: three brothers, John, Harry, and Alexander France; and three sisters, Hattie Rennicker, and Florence and Wilma France.

Longtime family friend, Elder Glenn Carlisle will officiate a service that celebrates Margaret�(TM)s life on Friday, December 30, at 2:00 p.m. in Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory, New Philadelphia. Friends and family will gather in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center for a meal immediately following the service. Friends may call in the funeral home on Thursday from 2-5pm.
