Margaret M. "Mig" Cozart, 93, of Strasburg passed away on Friday, June 29, 2012 at Park Village Health Care Center following an extended illness.
Born on June 4, 1919 in Strasburg, she was the daughter of the late William and Bertha Dreher Ramsey. She graduated from Strasburg High School in 1937, which was the first class to graduate from the new high school. She married the love of her life, Samuel E. Cozart, who preceded her in death on January 19, 1995. Together they had three daughters. She is also preceded in death by two cousins; Orda Zaugg, and Dan Dreher, and two special friends; Shirley Jones, and Violet McCain.
Mig attended Akron City School of Nursing. She worked at Apple Creek State Hospital from 1958-1972. She also worked at Union Hospital. She became an LPN in 1970 and was long-time member of LPN Division 20, where she became a treasurer for many years. She was also a lifetime member of the First Lutheran Church in Strasburg.
She will be sadly missed by her three daughters; Judy Michener of Navarre, Karen Kohler of Akron, and Christine (Les) McGrath of Strasburg; two sisters, Patty (Robert) Suttman of Texas, Jeraldine Jones of Strasburg; along with seven grandchildren, Fred Koehler, Ben and Jeff McGrath, Bob, Mike, Brian and Phil Glasgow; two Brother in laws, Charles Jones of Dover, Don Cozart of California; a sister in-law, Shirley Fox-Leonard of Colorado; along with serveral great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Mig's life will take place at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Strasburg on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 7:00 pm. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home from 5-7pm on Tuesday. Burial will follow at Grandview Union Cemetery at a later date.
