Margaret ''Maggie'' V. Digenova

Margaret V. “Maggie” DiGenova, 75, of 414 E. High St., Uhrichsville, Ohio died Thursday, February 22, 2001 at Union Hospital following a brief illness.

She formerly worked as a night auditor for the Duke and Duchess Motel in Newcomerstown and had previously worked at the Timken Company in New Philadelphia for 15 years. She was also a former employee of the New Philadelphia Eagles Lodge.

Born January 10, 1926 in Dover, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Venna Doney Studer. She was raised in Strasburg.

Maggie was a member of the Trinity Gospel Church in New Philadelphia where she was the pianist and organist. She was an accomplished pianist and organist and played with numerous bands in the Tuscarawas and Stark County areas and was a member of the musician�(TM)s union. She was a 1944 graduate of Strasburg High School.

She is survived by her daughter Jody (Bob) Hart of Uhrichsville and two sons John “Doug” DiGenova of the greater Cincinnati area and Jad (Diana) DiGenova of Miami, Fla. She is also survived by four grandchildren including Trad Kleyman of Uhrichsville and Kasey (Terry) Willison and daughter Sami of New Philadelphia.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, Feb. 26, 2001 at 10:30 AM in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. George Fowler officiating. Interment will be in the East Avenue Cemetery in New Philadelphia. Friends may call at the funeral home Sunday from 4-7 PM.
