Margaret (Peggy) Byer Mcintosh

Margaret (Peggy) Byer McIntosh of Dover died Sunday, June 24, 2001 at the Hennis Care Centre following a long illness.

She was the daughter of the late August and Edith Miller Byer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband Berl W. McIntosh, two brothers and one sister, Raymond and Earl Byer and Eunice Swonger, two miscarried grandbabies and a nephew Robert S. Swonger III.

She is survived by her daughters Linda McIntosh Liptok (Francis) of Dover and Jennifer J. Hobson (Ray) of Canton. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Rebecca, Rachael and Kipling Liptok of Dover and Christopher Mann of San Francisco, CA; and several dear nieces and nephews.

She was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, and was a 1966 (yes) graduate of Dover High School. She worked for twenty-five years with the babies she loved at Union Hospital. She worked hard, was kind and quick to laugh. She was a wonderful grandmother.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 27, 2001 at 2:00 pm in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Dover with Rev. Steve Daniels officiating. Interment will be at the Dover Burial Park. Friend may call at the funeral home on Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
