Margaret W. Deibel, 86, of Strasburg passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Schoenbrunn Healthcare.
Born on February 18, 1925 in Gnadenhutten, she was the daughter of the late Blaine and Alma Kinsey Riggle. She grew up in Stillwater, Ohio where she helped with her family's farm and learned to milk at the age of six.
Margaret graduated from Uhrichsville High School in 1944. On March 5, 1950, she married the love of her life, Earl Deibel, who preceded her in death on November 23, 1997. She was a homemaker who was devoted to her husband and family. She continued working on the Deibel farm for many years.
Margaret was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Strasburg. She loved music and enjoyed collecting many different types of items.
She will be sadly missed by her children; Alan Deibel of the home, Les (Andrea) Deibel of Strasburg, Kathleen Deibel of Bolivar; grandsons, Alexander Deibel of Strasburg, Curtis Deibel of Akron; brother, Charles Riggle of Columbus; brothers in-law, George (Betty) Deibel, Ray (Carol) Deibel, Jim Ramey; sisters in-law, Eloise Thomas, Helen Marshall, Esther (Harold) Eckleberry, Naomi (Dean) Prysi, Diane Deibel, Doris Deibel, and Judy Deibel.
In addition to her husband and parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her son, Rick Deibel.
In honoring Margaret's wishes, cremation will take place. A memorial service will be conducted at the First Lutheran Church in Strasburg on Saturday, April 9, 2011 at 10:00 am with Pastor Robert Johnson officiating. Interment will take place at Grandview Union Cemetery. Following the service of committal, a meal will be served at the church. Friends are invited to call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home & Crematory in Strasburg on Friday, April 8, 2011 from 6-8pm.
