Margene Burrell

Margene Burrell, 68, of Dover, died Thursday, May 13, 2004, in the Cleveland Clinic following a long illness.

Born February 20, 1936, in Coshocton County, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Raymond S. and Bertha M. Davis Fry. Margene attended The Ohio State University. On December 24, 1957 she was wed to Lewis Burrell in Barrs Mills, and together they raised a family of six. Margene was employed by several health care facilities prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Wooster Highway Church of God and was very involved in music and missions programs.

In addition to her husband Lewis, survivors include three daughters, LaJoya Boffo of West Lafayette, Jeannette (Brian) Baltzly of Osteen, FL, and Christine (Nick) Ryan of Dover; three sons, David (Lisa) Burrell and Gary (Jennifer) Burrell, both of Dover, and Mark (Della) Burrell of New Philadelphia; thirteen
grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a brother, Rev. Carl Dean (Pat) Fry of Carrollton.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Orr; an infant sister; and an infant brother.

A funeral service celebrating Margene's life will be held Saturday, May 15, at 2 p.m., in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, 803 N. Wooster Ave., Dover, with Pastor Kenneth Yoder of the Wooster Highway Church of God officiating, assisted by Pastor Michael LeMay of the Greensburg Church of God officiating. Burial will be in Ridgecrest Memory Gardens, Dover. Following the committal, there will be a meal in the Toland-Herzig Monarch Center, 831 Boulevard, Dover.
