Marion Warner, Jr., 81 of Dover, died peacefully in his home on Wednesday, January 14, 2004.
He retired in 1985 from the N&W Railroad after 22 years of working as a brake man.
Born May 1, 1922 at Dover, he was the son of the late Marion & Goldie Kyle Warner, Sr.
Marion was a devoted member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church at Dover where he had been an active participant of the Church�(TM)s senior citizens group activities. He liked playing Bingo and had also enjoyed making woodcrafts to share with family and friends.
Whether it was the yearly trips to Myrtle Beach or most recently an Alaskan cruise, he always looked forward to traveling with his loving wife, Catherine “Jenny” Contini Warner, who survives. The couple celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on September 14, 2003.
Marion is also survived by several nieces and nephews and many special friends.
A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 17, at 12 noon in the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. William Arnold officiating. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery at Dover.
Friends may call in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover on Saturday, from 11:00 a.m.- 11:45 a.m.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 613 N. Tuscarawas Avenue, Dover.
