Marjorie A. Smith

Marjorie A. Smith, 86, of Dover, died Friday, October 1, 2004 in Country Club Retirement Center.

Born June 9, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Ralph W. and Gladys M. Peterman Lenarz.

Marjorie graduated from Dover High School in 1936 and was a longtime member of the St. John�(TM)s United Church of Christ in Dover.

She was employed as a secretary for Buehler Bros. Co. for 16 years and the Dover Chamber of Commerce for 5 years.

On September 4, 1936 she married Russell J. Smith with whom she celebrated 60 years of marriage before his passing on November 19, 1996.

Survivors include: a son, Regis R. (Bonita) Smith of Yale, MI; two grandsons, Randal (Sue) Smith of Roseville, MI and Russell (Esther) Smith of Capac, MI; five great grandchildren, Brandon, Jordan, Calvin, Kenton and Brieanne Smith of Capac, MI; and a sister, Eva Jean Truman of Dover.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by: a daughter, Marty J. Smith who died on September 18, 1999; an infant son; and a sister, Betty Sutek.

A funeral service that celebrates Marjorie�(TM)s life will be held Friday, October 8 at 2:00 p.m. in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home, Dover with Rev. Steven Daniels officiating. Interment will be in the Dover Burial Park. Friends may call in the funeral home on Thursday from 4-7 p.m.
