Marjorie A. (Herbst) Warther, 89, a longtime Dover resident died Friday evening, March 13, 2015 in her home following an extended illness.

Marjorie was born April 25, 1925 in Canton, Ohio, the only child of the late Paul and Hilda (Gross) Herbst.

After graduating from St. Joseph High School in 1943, Marjorie was employed at the Republic Stamping and Enameling Company in Canton.

She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Dover and the L.C.B.A. She was an accomplished pianist of classical music and was very artistic. She especially enjoyed children's literature.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Jacob F. "Jake" Warther who died August 1, 2012 along with a daughter, Mary Beth Warther.

Marjorie will be sadly missed by her six children, Paula (Robert) VanSickle of Dover, Joseph Warther of Americus, Georgia, Jacob Michael (Mike) Warther of Dover, Patrice Warther of Dover, Julie (Brian) Hungerman of Wooster and Linda (Jim) Murray of Dover.
