Marjorie B. Newland

Marjorie B. Newland, 82 of Wooster and a former Strasburg resident died Wednesday, March 8, 2000 at the Wooster Community Hospital following an extended illness. She was a retired Hairdresser having owned her own shop in Wooster for many years. She had also worked at Rogers Beauty Shop in Dover. Born March 1, 1918 in Strasburg she was a daughter of the late Homer and Frances Johnson Froman. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Strasburg. She enjoyed crafts and crocheting. Marjorie was preceded in death by her husband Glenn E. Newland who died on October 11, 1985. She is survived by a brother: Maurice and Sis Froman of Bolivar. Sister: Erma and Paul Boerum of Silver Spring, Maryland. Many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2000 at 11:00 am in the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home at Strasburg with Rev. Dana Keirstead officiating. Interment will be in Grandview Union Cemetery at Strasburg. Friends may call at the Toland-Herzig Funeral Home on Friday from 6-8 pm.
